Welcome to Northwest Marketplaces, organizer’s of Seattle's favorite marketplaces for 30 years. It was founded in 1990, and modeled after the popular European markets enjoyed by the travelers Jon and Candace Hegeman who loved the vibrancy, color and activities they brought to communities.

Over the years, our family has helped to expand our beloved marketplaces and contributed to neighboring markets and events like Ballard Farmers Market, Capitol Hill, Queen Anne Farmers Market and Georgetown for the past 30 years.

Today, Northwest Marketplaces proudly organizes some of the largest community marketplaces and festivals that attracted over 900,000+ attendees in 2019 and over $3.1 million in gross revenue back into the pockets of small businesses.

Our company works with clients and community stakeholders helping activate communities to nurture, create and celebrate, strengthening local commerce and activating public space.

Our clients past and present include Amazon, City of Redmond, Seattle Parks & Recreation, Special Olympics of Washington, Vulcan, Fremont Chamber of Commerce, SLU Chamber of Commerce and many others. 

Family-owned and operated for 30 years, we believe in providing affordable marketplaces in our  city that allows for micro-businesses to launch open their store front curbside.
